Designated Design or Chance Chaos?

Endeavouring to polarise evolution and creation is futile.

Evolution is a theory, that has been proven partially but not wholly and creation is all around us, whether one believes or not. The debates on which is right or who is right are senseless. Both are correct in their positions and both are incorrect in their explanations and until each side recognises that and admits it, they will both go round in circles never knowing the real answers to our origins.

One person asks how they are similar? Both require belief, though it would appear that by placing all your trust in just evolution as the mechanism for all life, it requires considerably more faith than in a creation; as mathematically, evolution defies all statistical probability. Yet scientists won’t tell you that or admit it openly.

The chances of ‘this happening’ or ‘that happening’ are just that, an astronomical lottery. It requires incredible faith ‘that everything just happened’ instead of believing there was intelligent design that instigated the program we exist in and the compatible software to produce life. And not just its genesis, but its continued mutations. In other words, everything had a beginning which the Biblical account of the creation reveals and everything continues to evolve, as science is progressively explaining.

Creation and evolution work together. To say there is one and not the other shows the folly of both scientists and creationists. Scientists could read their Bibles a bit more and creationists would do well to read a few more scientific journals, studies and papers.

Albert Einstein came to the conclusion that a God was behind everything we know and understand and are yet to understand. He delivered his theories via mathematical formulae. Everything has a common numerical denominator. Music is just a sequence of numbers. The Great Pyramid’s construction is just a set of numbers; albeit a sequence that modern man is unable to replicate.

“Go down deep enough into anything and you will find mathematics” Dean Schlicter

A physicist or chemist would be laughed out the room if they attempted to say an idea was factual without formulaic data or numerical evidence of how they arrived at their conclusions. Yet Biologists and evolutionists propose a theory as complete fact, based on sizeable conjecture and little substance of any weighted mathematical proof.

The Bible has some stern words for those who adopt such a stance and profess a flawed argument. The words are very appropriate to the age we live in.

‘But you, Daniel, shut up the words and seal the book, until the time of the end. Many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall increase.” Daniel 12:4 ESV.

People are travelling and communicating as never before. Knowledge is increasing exponentially, yet humankind is not becoming wiser. Something has gone terribly wrong.

The Book of Romans gives an answer. It is a letter written by the apostle Paul, remarkably to the fledging new group of people believing the new astonishing movement sweeping across the Roman Empire even though they live in the very centre of unbelief and incredulity.

Paul had visited Rome and he was well aware that of all the churches, theirs was the closest to the beating heart of the Roman empire and with that the intellectual pride in being at the forefront of science, art and culture. There were already a whole pantheon of gods and no need for anymore. Yet Paul’s commission was to reveal the one true God…

‘For as I passed along [the streets of Athens] and observed the objects of your worship, I found also an altar with this inscription: ‘To the unknown god.’ What therefore you worship as unknown, this I proclaim to you. The God who made the world and everything in it, being Lord of heaven and earth… Acts 17:23–24 ESV.

Paul in his letter to the Romans goes straight to the biggest stumbling block for the people in Rome and it is a message that resonates throughout the passing centuries to our very day.

‘For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who by their unrighteousness suppress the truth. For what can be known about God is plain to them, because God has shown it to them. For his invisible attributes, namely, his eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly perceived, ever since the creation of the world, in the things that have been made.

So they are without excuse. For although they knew God, they did not honor him as God or give thanks to him, but they became futile in their thinking, and their foolish hearts were darkened. Claiming to be wise, they became fools, and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images resembling mortal man and birds and animals and creeping things.’ Romans 1:18–23 ESV.

The intellectual elite and leading academia of our society, suppress the truth and provide an alternative answer for anyone naive enough to accept it. This agenda is dark and all encompassing and would require further discussion.

Charles Darwin understood that nature as in the flora and fauna of botany and zoology exhibited evolutionary mutational change. What he also understood, was that this paradigm did not fit humankind. This from a man who grew up in a non-conformist Unitarian family, went to Anglican school, then the University of Cambridge to acquire a Bachelor of Arts with the mind of entering the clergy. Though he rightfully came to distance himself from religion, he always maintained ‘the existence of God as a First Clause’ and he himself remained a theist until his death.

Human evolution is an entirely different matter, which again would require further discussion.

There are seven key points that support a thought out, premeditated design in our world, solar system and universe. They are not original to me and I will leave out the last two as they are predicated on faith.

The first five though, are based on self evident, good common sense; something that seems to be in very short supply in our age particularly in view, of what is currently transpiring in our lives and the seeming gullibility of the majority.

They are self explanatory, so I will not belabour them, though they might be helpful to some, if they care to investigate them more fully.

  1. Law, whether they be laws of physics or chemistry demands a Law giver or instigator.
  2. Life, that is its biogenesis requires a Life giver or initiator.
  3. Creation, the immense variety and number of species requires a Creator or source.
  4. The sustenance or maintenance of all said laws and life, behooves a Sustainer or originator.
  5. Design and the myriad intricate patterns within the Universe at the macro cosmos level or at the micro sub-atomic level demands a Designer or planner.

Edited excerpt from an answer to a question asked on Quora: Why are the theories of creationism and evolutionism always opposed? Couldn’t they both be truthful or both false?

Addendum:

Albert Einstein was repeatedly indignant with being labelled a theist; as he also was with being called an atheist.

Einstein: “The divine reveals itself in the physical world.”

“Behind all the discernible concatenations, there remains something subtle, intangible and inexplicable. Veneration for this force is my religion. To that extent, I am in point of fact, religious.”

“Everyone who is seriously involved in the pursuit of science becomes convinced that a spirit is manifest in the laws of the universe – a spirit vastly superior to that of man.”

“My God created laws… His universe is not ruled by wishful thinking but by immutable laws.”

‘Einstein did not believe in a personal God, who answers prayers and interferes in the universe. But he did believe in an intelligent mind or spirit, which created the universe with its immutable laws.’
